Cavaliers Win First Game 7 Since 2016
The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off a historic comeback in Game 7 on Sunday to beat the Orlando Magic 106-94 and advance to the second round of the 2024 NBA playoffs.
The Cavaliers trailed by as many as 21 points in the third quarter but rallied to tie the game at the end of regulation. In overtime, Cleveland took control and never looked back, outscoring Orlando 15-8 to win the game.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 29 points, while Darius Garland added 24 points and 12 assists. Jarrett Allen also had a big game with 21 points and 20 rebounds.
The Cavaliers' victory was their first Game 7 win since 2016. It was also the first time they had overcome a 20-point deficit in a playoff game.
The Cavaliers will now face the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs. Game 1 of the series is scheduled for Tuesday night in Cleveland.
